We want to warmly welcome you to the School of Education (SOE). The community you are now a part of is one characterized by academic excellence, genuine care, and deep faith commitment. We are confident that your time here will equip you for your role as a high-impact educator in the classroom, leader in society, and ambassador in Christ’s Kingdom.
Obviously, there is much to look forward to! As the Director and Coordinator of the First-Year Experience, we want to help you experience all the opportunities available to you in the SOE from the start. We have designed a number of programs and supports to specifically equip first-time students like yourself with the knowledge, connections, and resources necessary for a successful and meaningful start.
We recognize that, although the transition to college is exciting, it can also be overwhelming and hard. If you ever find yourself wanting to talk to someone, please know that we are here for you! We want to meet students where they are and support them in the ways they need. We are always available to meet, and we are dedicated to creating the best possible first-year experience for all education students.
We are eager to begin this journey with you. We pray that through it all you feel celebrated, supported, safe, and cared for in our SOE community.
