Social Studies Education

Baylor students may major in secondary or middle-grades social studies education, and history majors in the College of Arts & Sciences may minor in education and benefit from the extensive faculty- and mentor-guided field work in the SOE.

Mathematics Education

Baylor students may major in secondary or middle-grades mathematics education, and math majors in the College of Arts & Sciences may minor in education and benefit from the extensive faculty- and mentor-guided field work in the SOE.

There are many specific strategies and activities that we discuss in content courses that I would not be equipped with if I hadn’t been as specific as a math major. Baylor's elementary education majors experience at least five semesters of field work in local schools, guided by Baylor faculty and in-classroom professional mentor teachers.
